Nissan's guilt-free luxury EV SUV

As the automotive landscape undergoes a massive transformation towards more sustainable and innovative solutions, the concept of executive mobility is being reinvented. Traditional measures of status and luxury are giving way to new priorities: caring for the environment, embracing technological advancements, and taking corporate responsibility seriously rather than relying on empty promises in corporate brochures. Amidst this paradigm shift, Nissan is positioning itself at the forefront of change by pivoting its focus up the value chain, symbolised by the introduction of the all-new, all-electric Ariya.

Today’s executives expect more from their vehicles than just transportation, they desire a car that serves as a mobile command centre, aligning with their values and accommodating their lifestyles, whether they’re commuting in the city or embarking on adventures beyond. The all-new, all-electric Ariya meets these demands with its cutting-edge technology, refined interior, and advanced driver assistance systems, ensuring that leaders stay connected and in control without compromising on the freedom to pursue New Zealand’s adventurous spirit.

The Nissan Ariya is a mid-size executive electric vehicle with a range of 497km (WLTP combined cycle) that represents the brand’s move towards a future where premium, performance, environmental consciousness, and advanced technology all converge.

The Ariya’s exterior design is bold and futuristic, embracing the Japanese term iki and makes a commanding kerbside appearance, especially since the nose now comes with a bold ‘shield’ that replaces a traditional grille. The shield itself incorporates a 3D, traditional Japanese kumiko pattern just under the smooth surface, and it protects sensing equipment used for ProPILOT functions and Intelligent Key detection.

For those lovers of the V-motion design, the SUV’s thin LED headlamps, (constructed with four 20mm mini-projectors), are combined with sequential turn signals to reinvent the V-motion look.

The Ariya’s profile (4.6m length, 1.7m height and 1.9m width) offers up a low, sleek roofline, dual-colour paintwork (with black highlights for areas such as the wheel arches), and aero-enhanced wheels. While the rear features a full width LED light bar, roofline spoiler and electric tailgate that opens to 466L of luggage space.

Inside, the Ariya offers a refined and hushed cabin that exudes luxury. Its commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with the growing emphasis on corporate responsibility, establishing the Ariya as a symbol of forward-thinking leadership without compromising the fundamental requirements of executive class mobility.

The Ariya’s slim profile ‘zero-gravity’ seats means that even those in the rear seats have ample room, and the centre console can be electronically moved to suit the driver’s personal preference, making for more legroom in the front and boasting class-leading cabin space overall.

The dash is minimalistic with the same wooden trim as the console, it also features haptic switches (that vibrate when touched) for the AC that illuminate upon switch on. Infotainment and instrumentation are presented as one long screen, and comes with a plethora of information that can be personalised to suit.

Simply put, the Ariya will catch people’s eyes as you arrive for important meetings in the city, while its e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive and class-leading towing capacity will get you and your family to the ski lodge or boat ramp effortlessly.

Introducing the Ariya to your fleet is not just a sign of innovative thinking and sustainability commitment, but also a demonstration of financial sensibility. Opting for a brand that resonates with Kiwis from all walks of life, not just the elite few, while communicating fiscal prudence.

Yet, the new Nissan Ariya doesn’t compromise on the refinement and comfort that your team members, who are the backbone of your organisation, expect and deserve. It becomes a reward and a symbol of their value to the company, going beyond mere mobility.

The Ariya challenges the traditional mindset around executive mobility. The short list of German and British executive cars has remained the same for generations, but the times they are [a] changing. The Nissan Ariya represents a shift in mobility choices and stands as a beacon for those who believe success is achieved through responsibility and dedication to shaping the future.
