Hi there,
We talk to an impromptu Ford Transit ambassador, Abdul Faizal of NZ Couriers. Abdul Faizal is a real world owner and driver of a Ford Transit Cargo van. We thought you’d like to hear what he has to say about it, given it’s his tool of trade and personal choice of vehicle.
With 10 years of courier driving behind him, Abdul’s had more experience than most when it comes to vans, and Ford won him over with the availability of a six-speed automatic transmission and the car-like qualities the Transit demonstrates.
The new Transit also has a wealth of courier-friendly, intelligent cost saving features which Abdul appreciates almost as much as he does the power and torque of the 2-litre turbo diesel. This, says Abdul, is the business when it comes to getting the job done.
Abdul’s days are early starts and late finishes, and the Transit is a perfect partner in this regard, requiring long, 35,000km intervals between services. This means less downtime and greater earning potential for Abdul.
It helps too, that the 1174kg payload and 8 cubic metre plus of cargo area in the Transit Cargo is as generous as Abdul is with his time, in taking us through the reasons he chose the new 2018 Ford Transit.
