2021 Toyota Camry ZR Hybrid

New models, Video Road Report

The Toyota Camry is back and its better than ever!

In keeping with Toyota’s global commitment to a cleaner and greener world, Camry’s new three model range is exclusively hybrid powered, with a self-charging battery pack adding to the smooth power of a 2.5-litre petrol engine.

Combined, the Camry power output is 160kW sipping just 4.5-litres of fuel per 100km while emitting 107gm of CO2; figures which underscore Toyota’s commitment to more environmentally considerate mobility.

It’s not just the beating heart of the Camry which has brought the former fleet favourite back into the limelight. Camry is now equipped with the very latest Toyota Safety Sense suite of features, which easily affords the medium-sized sedan a five-star ANCAP safety rating and puts it on the playlist for the safety conscious fleet. New additions to the Toyota Safety Sense suite include emergency steering assist, intersection turn assist, road sign assist, lane tracing assist and all speed Dynamic cruise control which incorporates curve speed reduction.

But Camry is now so much more. It’s sporty and stylish in its design with the ZR model especially, featuring an engaging new front end treatment which in this – the ninth generation of Camry – embraces the vehicle in a cohesive and exciting design motif for true drivers to appreciate.

In a world where the SUV is king, a five-door sedan represents the essence of motoring. When it comes with glowing eco credentials and boasts big boot space as well, it is a more than welcome change for the climate conscious driver.

Toyota’s Camry is back in the ring and – with its all-new look and three spec’ level line up – is setting itself up to reclaim its glory as the middleweight champion going for a CO2 KO.
