ERoad FleetDay 2022

Fleet Management

There was a lot riding on the ERoad FleetDay in July.

Although the Waikato Regional Council-supported event is a fixture in the Waikato calendar and has been orchestrated by ERoad for the last three events, ERoad’s FleetDay had been a casualty of Covid and had effectively been put on hold for two years.

But in 2022, ERoad FleetDay made its comeback with an awesome line up of speakers, exhibitors, special guests, and new products from the light passenger and heavy commercial vehicle industries.

The organisation for the event was nothing shy of superb.

ERoad’s FleetDay follows a pattern of well-structured and informative seminars with plenty of time for intermingling and networking in between.

At the end of the day, event-goers come together as the audience for a panel discussion which encapsulated the day’s events, generated thought provoking discussion points and allowed industry commentators to address topical issues highlighted throughout the course of the day.

When NZ Company Vehicle spoke to ERoad prior to the event, we were told the underlying theme was to bring information and enthusiasm for the automotive industry together.

To this end, the Claudelands Globox arena was loaded with plenty of automotive eye candy as well as some cutting-edge vehicle technology.

Balancing this was the event’s focus on road safety, EV strategies and technology and the challenges and solutions facing the heavy transport sector.

From an observational perspective, the ERoad FleetDay for 2022 was clearly something fleet managers and showgoers were looking for, given the number of visitors to the show.

In the exhibition halls and in between the seminars, exhibitors and show attendees were constantly and continuously engaging with equal high levels of enthusiasm.

As far as getting the messages to the right people goes, the ERoad FleetDay for 2022 couldn’t have delivered on its promises any better.

“This year’s event exceeded our predicted numbers in terms of attendees,” summarises ERoad’s marketing manager, Matt Fontein. “We anticipated a 20 percent increase over the last event, so banked on 350 attendees. With an estimated 600 people attending, it is clear our clients and the fleet management industry overall appreciate the event. We look forward to doing it all again next year.”
