Fleet Day flies south for the Summer

Fleet Management

For you folks in the great Southern lands, here’s your chance – again – to prove that life in New Zealand does exist outside of Auckland, and EROAD is here to help – as Fleet Day heads to Christchurch for February 29, 2024.

Riding the crest of the wave after three immensely successful and supported post-Covid events in the Waikato – with an extra added for good measure in Wellington – EROAD’s events team has decided to stretch their wings and take over the Air Force Museum of New Zealand for the benefit of fleet users.

“The South Island is a critical area for fleets to operate in and from,” explains Konrad Stempniak, EROAD’s Executive General Manager for New Zealand and Australia, “We want to ensure fleet operators get the best of any relationship with EROAD, including the knowledge and networking Fleet Day provides.”

From Fleet Day ‘up North’ events, ‘knowledge and networking’ are not things to be taken lightly.

With the massive year-on-year growth of the events in the North Island in terms of attendees and exhibitors alike, the Fleet Day formula is an unqualified success, partially due to the passion of the EROAD organisers who put it together.

Fleet Day is all about the exhibitors and speakers sharing successful fleet management processes, identifying trends fleet operators can use to their advantage, showcasing technology and tools and discussing issues as they pertain to fleet operations.

“We do ‘theme’ the events,” elaborates Matt Fontein, marketing director for EROAD “and for Christchurch, we will be focusing on efficiency, safety and sustainability with an underlying enabler of technology.

“We will be adopting some never-before-introduced considerations such as asset management to bolster the heavy and light commercial fleet topics and exhibits, which have proven so successful at our other events.”

Fleet Day embraces the auto industry and as such brings together a spectacular array of the latest in cars, utes, vans and trucks as well as suppliers to the auto industry for attendees to mix and mingle around during the networking sessions.

“The event is a low-pressure environment for everyone,” says Matt. “The focus is more on ‘experiencing’ with the benefits of expert knowledge on hand – and I think that’s what makes Fleet Day such a success.”

From a showgoer’s perspective, the informal interaction is certainly appealing, but the quality of the seminars should not be underestimated, nor should the quality of the speakers at Fleet Day.

Seminar topics are diverse and appeal to a broad audience with something for everyone in terms of what they take away, and there is still plenty of opportunity to see the exhibitors and select the seminars you want to attend.

“Taking Fleet Day to the South is a major logistical exercise for EROAD, but it’s one we strongly believe in,” says Matt Fontein. “As with other Fleet Days, we are looking to add the ‘surprise and excite’ factor, so even if you have been before, you won’t want to miss this one!”
