Flexibility and choice for your next company vehicle

Vehicle Fitout
Reducing the purchasing and running costs of your company fleet just got easier.
Through their branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch, AutoTerminal offers a wide selection of near new late model Japanese and European vehicles which have to meet stringent quality criteria.
“We’ve identified that these quality used vehicles can be used for fleet purposes with absolute confidence,” says AutoTerminal General Manager Darryl McGifford.
“All AutoTerminal imported used vehicles exceed the NZTA safety standards both mechanically and structurally, and they leave the site groomed and ready for work.”
Darryl says that many fleets are now considering a quality near new import for their next company vehicle purchase, because of the savings on FBT and if buying outright the lower purchase price.
“AutoTerminal are completely independent registered motor vehicle trader (RMVT) and therefore can offer any brand of vehicle that is fit for the purpose required.
“We have a wide variety of sedans, hatches and station wagons from the many Japanese manufacturers and some Europeans, which are competitively priced and enable a buyer to put a fleet of vehicles on the road at a significantly reduced cost. he says.
“We can offer a fleet of Toyota Vitz (Yaris) or Nissan March (Micra) at a more cost competitive rate than the new car price. These units are ideal for the likes of a district health board or a council pool fleet and we are also able to access used Hybrid vehicles, which are gaining traction in the fleet sector.”
“As an alternative to a new six-cylinder Ford or a Holden station wagon, we can offer a fully specified 2004-2005 V6 Honda Odyssey, with a much lower purchase price but still offering the same flexibility of those vehicles .”
Darryl says that AutoTerminal’s E2E (end 2 end) quality control processes ensure the vehicles are of the highest standard. AutoTerminal NZ is part of the world wide AutoTerminal Group, the company has sold over 40,000 vehicles into the market over the last 10 years and imports 500 vehicles a month into NZ.
Currently AutoTerminal has over 4,000 vehicles in stock, and if customers can’t find something to meet their requirement, Darryl says that vehicles can be ordered in the colours and specifications required and delivered within six to eight weeks.

Before the vehicles leave the Japanese port they are checked against a stolen vehicle register before being structurally inspected by AutoTerminal Japan. Then the odometer is checked and verified independently by OIS Japan before being cleared by MAF in Japan and in NZ.
On arrival at the AutoTerminal facility in Wiri all vehicles are checked for compliance certification by an independent compliance company, VSS. The vehicles then undergo a further safety inspection and certification by the AA, before having a WOF issued by the AA.
AutoTerminal has invested heavily in its on site mechanical and panel repair facilities. Inside the 6500 square metre workshop is a parts department, 29 vehicle hoists, a grooming bay and photo booth. For repair work there is a sandblasting booth, a painting booth and a low-bake oven which ensures all paint and panel repairs are to the highest standards.
Once all compliance checks and minor repairs are completed the vehicles are fully groomed and detailed.
Darryl says that AutoTerminal stands behind its vehicles and the company will carry out mechanical repairs in the occurrence of a major fault or will swap a customer out of that vehicle into another of the same make and mileage if need be.
Autoterminal has strong links and business partnerships with a number of finance companies and warranty operators, as well as offering roadside assistance for peace of mind.
Darryl says, “The flexibility and cost savings that a quality near new Japanese import offers in these tough economic times, means they are a really viable option”
