Forthing NZ adds 2 new Dealerships

News

Forthing NZ is going further, faster. The brand has just landed two major new dealer partners - Winger Motors on Auckland's North Shore and Ebbetts in Tauranga, expanding its authorised dealer and service network nationwide, effective July 1, 2026.

It's a fast follow-up to an already strong start. Since launching in New Zealand in April 2026, Forthing has built its presence around four foundation dealerships: Forthing Central Auckland, Forthing Hamilton, Forthing Wellington (Lower Hutt) and Forthing Christchurch. Now, Forthing North Shore, 75 Wairau Road and Forthing Tauranga, currently based at 123 Cameron Rd, moving to a dedicated Forthing space at 115 Third Ave in August, to bring the brand even closer to Kiwi drivers, reflecting the rapid consumer interest the brand has generated in its short time in market, and delivers on the expansion roadmap signalled at launch

"We always said the initial four locations were just the beginning," says Todd Groves, General Sales Manager for Forthing NZ. "Adding Winger North Shore and Ebbetts Tauranga is a clear signal that Forthing is here for the long term and that we're serious about making our vehicles accessible to Kiwis wherever they live and work. The Bay of Plenty and Auckland's North Shore are significant markets, and we're excited to be part of them."

Says Paul Govind, Dealer Principal Winger Motors North Shore “We are excited to welcome Forthing to the Winger Motors North Shore line-up. With more North Shore drivers considering hybrid and electric options, the Forthing Taikon delivers strong value, great features, and competitive pricing. It adds another quality choice backed by the experience our team has built over 95 years. We think it will be a great fit for the North Shore community.”

From July 1, customers across Auckland's North Shore and the Bay of Plenty can now visit their local Forthing dealer, explore the Taikon range, book a test drive, and talk through options. And the lineup's only getting bigger, with new models due before the end of 2026 and more rolling out from 2027.

Julian Clements, Dealer Principal of Forthing Tauranga says “We're excited to bring Forthing to the Tauranga market. The Taikon is a great fit for buyers who want genuine value without compromising on style or technology, and we think it'll resonate strongly with Kiwi families looking for a smart alternative in the SUV space. Ebbett has a long history of backing brands we believe in, and Forthing is no exception — we're looking forward to welcoming customers into our new showroom and showing them what this car can do."

Forthing arrived in New Zealand with the Taikon range, a medium SUV built for Kiwi roads, available in Super Hybrid or full EV power, across Luxury and Exclusive trims — starting from $39,990 plus on-road costs.
