Adding to the growing list of New Zealand Caltex Stations offering Plug and Save fast EV charging to their valued customers, Gisborne’s Caltex Gladstone Road Station is the latest to install a Plug and Save Electric Vehicle charger at their site at 401 Gladstone Road, Gisborne.
Since acquiring the business some five years ago, station owner Virinder Kumar has maintained a strong focus on ensuring the business keeps up with modern customer demands and offering customers a wide range of services.
The station supervisor says, “We are delighted to offer the fastest EV charging facility in Gisborne. With a growing number of EVs coming into the region, it is important that we cater for EV customers’ charging needs and ensure that EV owners can now charge quickly and efficiently.
“Adding the Plug and Save charger will appeal to new customers and adds to the wide range of services we currently offer.”
Already offering a Softwash carwash, trailer hire, as well as clean, modern facilities, Mr Singh adds, “Offering customers the convenience of having a full range of snacks, sandwiches, pies and good coffee will ensure that customers can enjoy a first-rate experience while charging their EV.”
The rapid expansion of the Plug and Save EV charger network is due to the many benefits Plug and Save chargers offer over other EV chargers on the market.
Offering an output of 160kW, Plug and Save’s fast chargers offer an industry-leading average output, from chargers that incorporate smart technology that eliminates the need for high-cost installation infrastructure, so are perfectly suited for installation in remote locations or for use at independently owned businesses where installation cost is a major consideration.
The other key advantage Plug and Save chargers offer over other fast chargers is the ability for customers to pay for their top-up via payWave compatible EFTPOS Debit or Credit Cards, with no need for an account, app or charging fob. Charging can simply be paid for in the same manner as any other fuel or grocery purchase, simplifying the charging process.
Plug and Save managing director, Deon Cooper says “the cost-effective, relatively easy installation process is a major consideration for independently owned businesses such as Moore’s Service Station when selecting an EV charging solution to offer their customers. This, coupled with industry-leading charger output, makes Plug and Save a perfect solution for owner-operator type businesses.”
