In 1996 Honda introduced the first CRV to New Zealand. Nearly 20 years later, the latest 2015 CRV has highly evolved with a bold new look, loads of added luxury, enhanced design detail, new 18 inch alloys, and the latest driver technology.
The new latest CRV is available in 2WD Sport with a 2-litre SOHC i-VTEC Engine and the CRV 4WD Sport and Sport NT, both with a 2.4-litre DOHC i-VTEC Engine. A Sport+ exterior kit is available for an extra $3,990.
Integrated daytime running lights, Honda’s LaneWatch camera, and an emergency stop signal are standard across the 2015 range.
The CRV 4WD Sport NT also has additional advanced active safety technologies, including lane departure warning system, Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation braking system, and adaptive cruise control.
The new sporty exterior design appears larger and more masculine on the road. The optional Sports+ exterior kit creates an even more assertive stance. Internally the new CRV has new seating, leather design features, chrome detailing, and soft touch materials throughout.
Specification levels include smart keyless entry, push button start, leather interior, sunroof, dual climate air conditioning, power front seats, driver’s memory seats, larger touch screen, Bluetooth, multi-angle reverse camera, dual screen navigation, and front and rear parking sensors.
In addition there are one-touch indicators, paddle shift, intelligent auto wipers and auto headlights, intelligent auto dimming rear view mirror, privacy glass, and a parking reverse tilt door mirror.
The ride and handling characteristics have been improved thanks to suspension tuning refinements, a modified steering ratio, larger wheel width, and improved brakes.
Enhancements have been made to the body to reduce noise, vibration and harshness, including thicker sound-absorbing material, including full-coverage of sound insulating carpet and better door sealing.
The 2015 CRV is available in eight colours including a new Copper Sunset Pearl and Brilliant Sporty Blue metallic.
