Iveco Trucks NZ is enjoying its best year in New Zealand history – and this is only the beginning, says general manager Ian Walker.

September registrations released by the MIA saw Iveco commercial vehicles up a staggering 400 percent  month on month compared to 2015. In the first nine months of 2016 Iveco has retailed a 67 percent more vans and trucks than in the same period last year, making it the fastest growing brand in the country.

“The results for the brand have been very encouraging, and show that we are giving customers what they want,” says Ian.

“In the past 18 months Iveco has focused its product offering to be exactly what the Kiwi van and truck buyer is looking for. We are completely renewing our entire product offering with first-class vehicles.

“Our European and Australian stables offer far more products than what traditionally has been offered in New Zealand. The new addition to our line-up is the fabulous Trakker 6x4 bulk cartage truck that we will launch in the next few weeks and proudly display at T.H.E. Expo 2017 in Hamilton, where we have taken a significant investment to show off our products.”

Iveco has launched to the 3.5t GVM market the multi-award winning New

Daily, with great success to both retail and fleet operators, and has expanded and strengthened its dealer network.

- It has also introduced several new packages specifically developed for Iveco customers, such as free servicing on the Daily, competitive repair and maintenance programmes on all trucks, Iveco Assist Roadside assistance, and finance packages.

Iveco has also expanded its sales force and will shortly be announcing a multi-million dollar investment into a new location in Auckland.

“We now have good established dealers that want to represent us as service and parts dealers and we will shortly be rolling our phase 2 of our dealer network programme,  including brand signage around the country,” says Ian. “Iveco Trucks New Zealand is here for the long haul (excuse the pun),  and operators will be seeing a lot more of our vehicles on our roads, that’s for sure”.
