Lexus of Wellington has been named the Lexus Supreme Award winner at the 2026 Lexus Business Excellence Awards, recognising outstanding performance across every aspect of the Lexus ownership experience.
The awards celebrate Lexus Dealerships and Toyota Stores across New Zealand that consistently deliver excellence in leadership, customer experience, sales, service and community engagement.
Lexus New Zealand Vice President Andrew Davis says the awards are about recognising the people behind the brand.
“These awards are ultimately about our teams,” says Davis. “Every Lexus Dealership represents the brand in its own community, and the standard is high across the country, so to be recognised at this level is a significant achievement.”
Lexus of Wellington was selected from a strong group of finalists including Lexus of Hamilton and Lexus of Hawkes Bay. The Lexus Sales & Marketing Excellence Award was awarded to Lexus of Christchurch, recognising its strength in connection with customers while representing the brand within its region.
“Lexus of Wellington has had a standout year. They’ve transitioned into a new home, hosted the Lexus Design Award as we expanded into the capital and continued to create events and partnerships that really connect with their community. It’s a great example of how the Lexus experience extends well beyond the vehicle.”
“Opening a new facility is one thing, but what stands out is how quickly the team has embedded the Lexus experience into the space,” he says. “It’s more than just a building; it’s about the people inside it and the culture they create for our customers every day.”
The Lexus Supreme Award reflects excellence across New Vehicles, Used Vehicles, Finance, Parts and Service, People, Facilities, Environment, Profit and Standards, and the consistent delivery of the Lexus promise to Experience Amazing.
“It’s not just about vehicle sales, it’s about how our customers feel when they walk through the door, how they’re supported throughout their entire ownership journey and the trust that builds over time. That’s omotenashi in practice, anticipating our guests’ needs and creating an environment where they feel welcomed as soon as they step foot inside the door.”
The 2026 awards come as Lexus continues to grow its electrified range and expand its presence nationwide. “As we evolve the brand, the role of our Dealerships becomes even more important,” says Davis.
Looking ahead, Lexus will continue to build on this momentum in 2026, including its sponsorship of New Zealand Design Week and a major presence at Lexus Urban Polo in Auckland’s Domain, where the all-new Lexus RZ featuring New Zealand’s first yoke steering with steer-by-wire technology will be on display. Later in the year, Lexus will launch its first vehicle with Lexus Connected Services in the all-new Lexus ES.
