There’s a buzz of excitement around an innovative approach to vehicle leasing, which ORIX has come up with.  
They call it ORIX MyWay. It moves away from the limitations of the ‘Fully maintained’ or ‘Non maintained’ leasing structure introduced in the 1980’s, to provide fleet owners with a refreshingly modern way of incorporating services into a lease.
“We are very excited to bring MyWay to market,” says Barry Nicholson, ORIX New Zealand’s general manager. “There is no question that leasing holds intrinsic value for Kiwi businesses, but the ‘all or nothing’ approach to services is outdated and needed reimagining. ORIX’s new solution gives customers far greater input into the fleet services and structure of their operating or finance lease.”
Here’s how it works:
1. Choose your vehicle.
2. Add only the services that you would like ORIX to manage.
3.    For each service selected, choose whether you would like to include the costs in your monthly lease rate, or have transactions on-charged if and when they occur.
“We are giving our customers the power to select the services that matter to them.  They’ll then have the freedom to determine which of those services they want to ‘include’ in the monthly lease rate and transfer liability for cost overruns to ORIX.  
“Customers who are happy to retain a degree of risk can ask ORIX to on-charge any selected services if and when transactions occur.
“Both ORIX managed options access ORIX’s technical expertise and oversight; and both fully leverage ORIX’s supplier agreements, quality controls and cost structures – without compromising health and safety.”
So, is this the end of the fully maintained lease?  
“Not at all,” says Nicholson.  “A comprehensive lease with low risk and fixed monthly payments will always be a valuable option. It’s about asking questions to help businesses make an informed decision.  We think our customers will love the flexibility, transparency and integrity that MyWay has to offer.”
