LDV T60 receives 5 Stars from ANCAP

The Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) has released its safety rating on the LDV T60 ute range. Scoring a total of 35.46 points out of a possible maximum of 37, the T60 becomes the first Chinese vehicle to achieve a 5-Star rating on the first attempt.  Not only did it achieve the five-star rating, but it also exceeded scores from many other utes produced by mainstream ‘established’ manufacturers.

The T60 is loaded with safety features such as blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, active headlights, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera and has a specially designed chassis tuned for right hand drive markets, using high-strength laser themo-welding technology.

LDV New Zealand Chairman, Rick Cooper, says “The New Zealand consumer can have full confidence in LDV. SAIC Motor is the seventh largest auto maker in the world, and in New Zealand the LDV product range is fully backed by a 100% Kiwi-owned distributor and dealer network. We are so confident in this vehicle, we are backing it with a 5 year, 130,000km, fully transferable warranty”.

LDV officially launched the T60 in New Zealand on September 28th 2017 and demand has been strong, with the first four shipments having sold out prior to landing.

The T60 range will be further bolstered with a single cab chassis variant arriving in December, with 2WD models arriving early 2018 and space-cab models to follow later.
