Mitsubishi Triton was in full-on beast mode in January, grabbing second place in the ute segment and pushing Toyota Hilux into unfamiliar third-place territory.
“It’s great to see one of our firm favourites continue to break new ground, as more and more Kiwis recognise the quality and value Triton offers,” said said Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Reece Congdon.“Performance and safety upgrades delivered at a sharp price make Triton the most compelling package in the ute segment.”
“The arrival of the new-look Triton has no doubt boosted sales, contributing to our biggest January in more than 30 years!”
With 1,248 sales and 9.3% total market share, the booming start to the year drove the brand into third position overall.
“Our next goal is to secure third place in the market for the financial year,” said Congdon. “This result suggests we are heading firmly in the right direction.”
Mitsubishi’s toughest Triton yet is now on sale at dealerships around the country and its impressive January result bodes well for MMNZ’s 25% sales growth target.
