After 13 years in vehicle leasing and fleet management Tony Johnston is returning to his Mitsubishi roots, this time as national fleet sales manager.
When the century turned he moved on to FleetPartners, one of New Zealand’s leading vehicle leasing and fleet management companies, handling more than 50 Wellington region vehicle fleets before being appointed to manage a fleet relationship team.
“Great experience”, he says. “Direct exposure to what fleets of all kinds are looking for: excellent background for my new role. In a sense, of course, I was never really very far from Mitsubishi, because it’s naturally one of the brands my team constantly evaluated against competitors over the past 13 years.
“I like what I see in Mitsubishi’s current line-up, and what’s due in 2014/2015 and beyond. I’m excited to have the opportunity to head up Mitsubishi’s highly experienced fleet team, and help businesses take advantage of the operating efficiencies that are coming thick and fast in the latest models”.
Tony started in his new role on September 17. He takes over from Mike Davidson, who has been appointed national sales manager for Fuso Trucks.
