Trans-Tasman triumph for Honda

We know the Aussies are a little behind us in most things, but this has worked out well for Honda’s 6th generation CR-V.

The largest SUV in the southern hemisphere to bear the Honda badge missed the boat when it came to car of the year awards in this country – the result of its launch timing. Being late to the party here though, didn’t affect what the Australians thought of the new generation CR-V.

Media site Drive.com.au awarded the CR-V its 2024 Best Medium SUV under $50k title.

As part of the award process, the newest vehicles launched into the Australian market were tested across a total of 19 categories. Each of the vehicles were stacked up against a rigorous and exacting testing procedure.

Drive’s Director of Content, Mr. James Ward said, "The new Honda CR-V brings a trusted brand back to the peak of family practicality, functionality and quality. It's a car that ticks all the right boxes for Australian families in 2024 and proves that Honda is well and truly back in the game."

The all-new CR-V is perfect for day-to-day activities and weekend escapes, with a sophisticated design inside and out.

Designed with families in mind, the sixth-generation CR-V offers the perfect balance of spaciousness, performance, handling, technology, and safety.
