Trans-Tasman triumph for Honda CR-V

Honda’s sixth-generation CR-V should have won some sort of award in New Zealand when it was released last year, however, because of its arrival time, it missed most judging deadlines.

The Australian however, have been running a little behind us and are vocal about how good the biggest Honda SUV in the southern hemisphere is.

Most recently, Australian motoring site 'Drive' selected Honda’s sixth-generation CR-V to receive the 2024 Drive Car of the Year’s Best Medium SUV under $50k.

Drive tested the newest vehicles launched into the Australian market across a total of 19 categories. Each of the vehicles were stacked up against a rigorous and exacting testing procedure.

Drive’s Director of Content, Mr. James Ward said, "The new Honda CR-V brings a trusted brand back to the peak of family practicality, functionality and quality. It's a car that ticks all the right boxes for Australian families in 2024 and proves that Honda is well and truly back in the game."

The sixth-generation Honda CR-V is described as having been designed with families in mind, offering the perfect balance of spaciousness, performance, handling, technology, and safety. Perfect for day-to-day activities and weekend escapes, the all-new CR-V has a sophisticated design inside and out.
