Zeekr’s bold design, advanced technology and growing model range will have a new home in Auckland, with Giltrap Zeekr officially opening to the public at 137 Great North Road on Friday 25 September 2026.
From opening day, the new flagship will also showcase Spotlight, Zeekr’s photographic collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker and creative Taika Waititi. Created at Auckland’s Studio West, the project uses the headlights of the Zeekr 7X as the sole light source across seven cinematic scenes, turning the vehicle from subject into part of the creative process.
The Auckland flagship brings the complete Zeekr experience indoors, foregoing the traditional outdoor car yard in favour of a contemporary showroom designed around customers and the vehicles. It gives Zeekr the space to present its expanding line-up in one dedicated Auckland location, while offering customers a comfortable experience no matter the season.
The flagship opening follows two high-profile moments for Zeekr in New Zealand: the Zeekr On Ice driving experience in Cardrona, which demonstrated the brand’s performance, control and confidence in one of the country’s most demanding alpine environments, and Zeekr’s creative collaboration with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi. Together, these moments have helped build strong national visibility for Zeekr and sharpened the brand’s position as a progressive new force in premium electrified mobility.
To support the opening, Zeekr New Zealand will also offer a rare preview of its future product direction, with the Zeekr 9X, Zeekr 8X, Zeekr 001 FR, Zeekr 7GT on display. The line-up provides an early look at the breadth of Zeekr’s next phase, from flagship electrified luxury through to performance-led grand touring and reinforces the brand’s ambition to redefine what premium mobility can feel like for New Zealand customers.

Opening this flagship with the full line-up, including the 7GT, 8X, 9X and 001 FR together for the first time, gives customers a clear look at where the brand is heading”, says Rushby.
Located at 137 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, the flagship has been created to give customers a more immersive way to discover Zeekr, from vehicle consultation and technology demonstrations through to delivery in a New Zealand first purpose-built facility. Its position on Great North Road within the Giltrap precinct places Zeekr alongside some of the world’s most desirable automotive brands, strengthening its premium presence in one of Auckland’s most established automotive
destinations.

Giltrap Zeekr is located at 137 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, and officially opens to the public on Friday 25 September 2026, with the brands photographic collaboration with Taika Waititi available to view via extended opening weekend hours through until 4.00pm, Sunday 27th September.
