GAC AION UT - SMALL IN STATURE, MIGHTY ON SPECS

New models

The AION UT is set to be a compelling option for new car buyers searching for their next urban-ready vehicle, with a range of features and technologies designed to meet the needs of modern drivers. Available in two trim levels – AION UT and AION UT Lux – the top tier adds further features, including a powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, power-folding side mirrors, wireless phone charging, a ventilated driver’s seat, etc.

Italian Design with Class-leading Functionality
Regardless of whether selecting standard or Luxury grade models, the AION UT features a sleek and modern design, expertly curated by GAC’s team in Milan. Available in 7 single-tone exterior paint options and 2 interior colour choices, the AION UT is full of personality.

The vehicle’s interior dimensions are particularly flattering relative to its competitive set. Despite sitting on an exterior footprint that places it as one of the smallest in its segment – perfect for navigating busy urban environments – an extensive 2,750mm wheelbase allows the AION UT to deliver an impressive 905mm of rear legroom. The AION UT is also ideal for those broad in the shoulders, thanks to 1,385mm of room across. At the rear, the AION UT offers generous luggage space up to 321 litres, extended to 689 litres with the rear seats folded flat. A lower floor to tailgate height of 685mm makes this exceptional space even more usable when loading shopping or other items into the vehicle.

24 thoughtfully designed storage compartments can also be found across the model’s interior.

Despite boasting impressive passenger and loading capability, the AION UT has a unique party trick up front. A vehicle set to spend much of its life navigating and parking in tight underground carparks, the issue of parking next to walls and poles becomes a thing of the past thanks to the front cabin’s open access walkway.

Sitting back in the AION UT’s comfortable butterfly-wrapped front seats – which are also capable of fully reclining – drivers and passengers are met with the segment’s largest display screens. An 8.8” frameless driver display coated with 3A anti-glare treatment ensures all key information remains visible to the driver, while the AION UT’s 14.6” central infotainment screen offers a fast, intuitive system that can accommodate multiple main screens tailored to the owner’s preference.

Up above, the AION UT’s expansive 860 x 790mm panoramic sunroof with electronic sunshade enhances the cabin’s overall airy feel, while also claiming another “largest in class” accolade.

Tech for Real Life

An essential feature for all modern vehicles, the AION UT is supported with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the model is further equipped with swathes of additional tech that actively help to make daily life more seamless.
Owners can monitor and track a range of key information from the palm of their hand, utilising the GAC App. Set across four distinct modules with 40 individual functions, owners are able to view real-time vehicle information, including current State-of-Charge and driving range, remotely lock and unlock their car or open/close the windows, adjust the climate control or locate their vehicle.

Separately, the vehicle’s control system includes key features such as allowing automatic locking when drivers approach or depart the vehicle. For buyers who opt for Luxury specification models, vehicles are also complemented with a handsfree powered tailgate, removing yet another manual control.

Finally, the AION UT is supported by a full Voice Control system, ensuring that occupants can manage all elements of the vehicle in just a few words.

Prioritising Occupant & Road User Safety

The GAC AION UT has an exceptional blend of passive and active safety systems that are set to make this one of the safest places to be when navigating urban environments. Level 2 ADAS is standard across both variants and integrates a range of enhancing features. Speed Control incorporates adaptive cruise control reacting to other vehicles and cornering speed, while Distance Control actively monitors for large oncoming vehicles and automatically adjusts the lateral clearance when safe to do so. Meanwhile, Stop-and-go tracking and Lane Position Keeping remain helpful when navigating busy
multi-lane roads.

In a segment first, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is available not just forwards, but also when reversing. Alongside larger vehicles, the vehicle’s system also recognises pedestrians and motorcyclists moving in the same and perpendicular directions, safeguarding those most vulnerable on the road. The AION UT is further equipped with a myriad of other technical systems, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alerts.

In the unfortunate event of an incident, the AION UT has been tested with 720-degree protection in mind – 360 vertically and 360 horizontally. With a chassis created from 39% high-strength and 28% hot-formed steel, the AION UT boasts 110,000 newton lateral impact forces through its front frontal crash structure and a roof structure capable of withstanding 7-tonnes of pressure.

Seven airbags are positioned throughout the cabin, including an expansive 2.1-metre side curtain airbag extending from the car’s A to C pillar. In addition, the AION UT’s Auto Unlock & Power Off Upon Collision System stops the powertrain and immediately unlocks all doors for passengers to make a safe exit if required.

A Powertrain Packed with Innovation

Impeccable safety standards continue through to the innovative Magazine Battery 2.0, offered as a 60kWh LFP setup. Structured efficiently with Cell-To-Pack technology, the unit features an outer shell with fireproof insulation to enhance thermal resistance and internal cooling systems designed to ensure high safety performance.

Equipped across over one million vehicles globally, the Magazine Battery 2.0 maintains a strong safety track record.
Both models are equipped with equivalent setups, delivering 430km (WLTP) of range and consuming 16.4kWh per 100km. The AION UT also offers efficient charging capability, with DC fast charging from 30%–80% achieved in approximately 24 minutes and AC charging up to 11kW.

The AION UT’s powertrain delivers 150kW of maximum power along with 210Nm torque, through a front-wheel-drive configuration. Capable of 0–100km/h in 7.3 seconds, the AION UT provides confident performance for everyday driving.
As with the AION V, it is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing the vehicle to power external devices at up to 3.3kW.

Adaptable Driving Characteristics

Three driving modes are on offer – Comfort, Sport and Eco – with specific attention given to smooth transitions between acceleration and deceleration, improving overall ride comfort.

Warranty

The AION UT is supported by GAC’s comprehensive ownership package, including:
• 8-year / 160,000km vehicle warranty
• 8-year / 200,000km battery warranty
• 5-year roadside assistance
