GWM New Zealand has today confirmed pricing and specification for the all-new Haval H7, with the bold new mid-size SUV set to arrive in three electrified variants priced from $49,990 RRP + ORC.
Bringing together distinctive styling, electrified performance and all-road capability, the all-new HAVAL H7 introduces a more adventurous SUV offering to the GWM showroom, while retaining the comfort, technology, practicality and value New Zealand customers have come to expect from the brand.
With a choice of Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid powertrains, along with two-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations, the range gives customers greater flexibility to choose a H7 to suit their lifestyle.
The range opens with the Haval H7 Lux 2WD Hybrid at $49,990 RRP + ORC, followed by the Vanta Hybrid AWD at $55,990 RRP + ORC, while the flagship Vanta PHEV AWD is priced at $61,990 RRP + ORC.
The all-new Haval H7 is expected to play a key role in GWM’s ambitions to become a top 5 brand in New Zealand. By joining its sibling, the H6, in the medium SUV segment, GWM is poised for more growth in one of the country’s largest segments.

TWO ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAINS
Two electrified powertrain options are available, giving customers the choice of Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid performance.
The Hybrid powertrain delivers up to 182 kW of combined system power, providing strong performance while retaining the convenience and ease of use of a self-charging hybrid system.
For customers looking to take electrification further, the flagship Haval H7 Vanta PHEV AWD combines significantly greater performance with the ability to complete everyday journeys using electric power alone. Producing up to 320 kW of combined system power and 670 Nm of torque, the PHEV can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, giving the H7 performance to match its purposeful exterior design. The PHEV also offers up to 137 km of EV driving range, providing the potential for many daily commutes and shorter journeys to be completed without using the petrol engine.
For longer journeys, petrol and electric power combine to provide a driving range of up to 844 km (WLTC), allowing owners to move seamlessly between everyday electric driving and longer-distance touring.
Hi4 ALL-WHEEL DRIVE AND ALL-ROAD CAPABILITY
Vanta AWD variants introduce GWM’s Hi4 intelligent all-wheel-drive technology, combining electrification with greater traction, performance and capability across changing driving conditions. Rather than using electrification purely to improve efficiency, the H7 harnesses its electrified drivetrain to broaden the vehicle’s capabilities across sealed roads, loose surfaces and more challenging terrain.
Up to eight selectable driving modes allow the vehicle to adapt its characteristics to different environments, while a locking rear differential provides additional traction when conditions demand it. Together, these features give the H7 greater capability beyond everyday urban driving and reinforce its position as the more adventure-focused member of the Haval SUV family.

The H7’s versatility extends beyond its drivetrain. On the PHEV, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows energy stored in the high-voltage battery to power compatible external electrical equipment, adding another level of practicality for camping, touring and outdoor activities.
