Here's what's new at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024

General

The Bi-annual Automechanika show in Frankfurt is the world’s largest expo focussing on automotive repair, parts and accessories. The editor of our sister publication, Motor Equipment News, attended this year’s event and found lots of interest to the fleet sector, including a significant number of Chinese EV brands we have yet to see in NZ and some models from current brands that are not yet in New Zealand, emphasising the huge Chinese EV Industry and market.

The Europeans also look at how to maximise load carrying as they tend to use smaller cars, we see quite a few bike racks here – especially for E-Bikes using the receiver hitch style towbar mount but in Europe they also use this mount for cargo boxes and small racks, sometimes combing a single bike carrier with a small rack.

We always think the pictures tell the story at events like this along with the captions!
