New tippers for Canter

General

The first factory-built Canter Euro tippers, new to Fuso’s line-up, hit New Zealand roads in October and are already proving their worth with contractors around the country.

Fuso Canter has long been one of New Zealand’s best-selling light trucks and the launch of Canter Euro last year marked an exciting leap forward into a cleaner, more efficient generation of trucking.

Now, the addition of two tipper models to the Canter Euro line-up provides greater versatility to this proven performer, with the same superb drivability and a highly efficient engine that exceeds Euro V standards

The 6.5 ton FEC65T1 delivers a 3.5 ton payload. The FEC60T1, with 6 tonne GVM and 3 tonne payload, offers extra operating flexibility, as it can be driven with an ordinary driver’s licence.

“The Canter Euro Tipper is big on hard work, but low on operating cost,” says Fuso national sales manager Roger White.

“The big jump to 30,000km service intervals comes through significant gains in combustion efficiency.

“Piezoelectric injectors, which allow highly accurate multi-injection and low down boost from a variable geometry turbo, ensure optimal combustion, leaving less engine deposits and cleaner oils.”

Both tipper models have a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited slip diff for better handling in off-road applications or around construction sites.

The factory-fitted body - made by ShinMaywa Industries – has a 2.1 cum capacity and an underbody hydraulic cylinder, with a link for tipping. This is covered under the standard warranty, which is 36 months/100,000km (whichever occurs first).

“With a comfortable suspended driver’s seat, multifunction display and spacious cab, it’s a very smooth and quiet working environment.”

“The Canter Euro Tipper is a fantastic addition to our fleet and will undoubtedly be a hit with our customers too!”
