Tow like you want to – and can!

General

The key to selecting the best towbar for your vehicle can be found in two key labels that buyers should look out for and demand.

One label should read “Genuine/Approved Accessory”, while the other should indicate “Manufactured in accordance with NZS5467”.  These tell you that the towbar is made for and approved as a genuine accessory by a motor company, and the second one ensures that it also meets the required Kiwi safety standards.

With towbars available from a number of less-than-reputable sources, both locally-made and imported,  it can be confusing for buyers wanting to know if the product is safe and reliable.

In order to be approved as a genuine accessories supplier, towbar makers must meet stringent design, testing and manufacturing standards.  Buyers should make sure their towbar is made by a manufacturer that has well established credentials as a supplier of genuine accessories to a wide range of motor companies.

Over the past two decades, Best Bars has gone further than any other towbar manufacturer in New Zealand to ensure that its products can be used in complete confidence and that they suit the vehicles sold in this market.

More than 20 years ago Best Bars set the standard when it introduced New Zealand’s first static testing of towbars. This is now used in conjunction with computer aided design tools and analysis to enable Best Bars to calculate the strength of a towbar, as well as the suitability of the mounting points to the vehicle.

To give your vehicle that extra lift and provide additional functionality, Best Bars also offers a wide range of premium stainless steel accessories.  These include nudge bars, side pipes and steps, rear bull bars, cab protectors and sports bars, all made from the highest quality T304 grade stainless steel tube, and polished to a mirror-like shine.

The range of Best Bars towbars and accessories are available through all leading new vehicle dealers nationwide and more information can also be found at www.bestbars.co.nz.
