Suzuki e Vitara arrives

New models

The introduction of the Suzuki e VITARA marks a significant milestone for Suzuki, highlighting the brand’s evolution while remaining true to the values that have long defined it.

With a wheelbase of 2,700 mm -the longest ever for a Suzuki production model -the e Vitara’s overall length of 4,275 mm is 100 mm more than the outgoing turbo petrol hybrid Vitara. Fulfilling its role as a genuine SUV, the fully electric e Vitara stands at 1,635 mm -the highest of any Suzuki -while also offering a generous 180 mm of ground clearance.

The e Vitara has an eight-year warranty programme and five year roadside assistance. e VITARA is equipped with Suzuki’s full suite of active safety features including adaptive cruise control, dual sensor brake support, traffic sign recognition and lane keep assist.

Further elevating the high safety specifications is the blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, reverse and 360-degree view camera and parking proximity sensors front and rear. A hill hold control is fitted while the ALLGRIP-e adds hill descent control. There are seven airbags for front, side, curtain and knee and both e Vitara models have an impact-sensing door unlocking system.

Infotainment includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, seven speaker Infinity sound system with subwoofer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB input and wireless Android Auto and Apply CarPlay. The detailed 10.25 inch customisable digital instrument cluster includes a range of driving data

Climate control air conditioning, keyless entry and an electric parking brake with hold function are standard. Unique to the ALLGRIP-e is the power distribution monitor in the instrument panel. Careful attention to the interior has resulted in three-level heated front seats and two-tone fabric and leather effect seat upholstery.

Ten-way power adjustability for the driver’s seat allow lumbar support, recline, slide and height while the rear seats recline and slide over a range of 160 mm. There is a three-way split adding extra convenience for the rear seating.

The interior benefits from a glass roof section with sun shade. Luggage capacity with the rear seats folded is 562 litres and ranges between 238 and 310 litres when the rear seats are in the raised position.

A new and exclusive colour for the e VITARA is Land Breeze Green Pearl Metallic with Bluish Black Pearl and is available with a contrasting black roof option for $1,000.

A distinctive daytime running lamp signature is paired with LED headlamps featuring an adaptive high-beam system that senses surrounding brightness and oncoming or preceding vehicles, automatically optimising illumination intensity and range.

The two wheel drive version arrives with a special introductory price of $54,990 plus on road costs and the all wheel drive ALLGRIP-e variant will initially retail for a limited time at $62,990 plus ORC.
